Calculators

Some basic calculators for topics in electronic engineering. They are implemented such that all the values update instantaneously instead of having to click calculate each time.

Simulating multisines

In this blog post, you will learn how to configure a circuit simulator to obtain the response of a circuit to a multisine excitation. This was originally published as an appendix of my PhD.

Circuit conversions

There exist many different ways to describe the behavior of an electronic circuit. Representations like Y, Z and S-parameters are popular. I developed a matrix-based approach to convert between the different representations

Stability analysis using projection

This blog post contains a summary of the work I did on stability analysis of microwave circuits. The research was performed at the FACTAS group of INRIA. The code for this analysis can be found here together with more examples.

Distortion Contribution analysis with the Best Linear Approximation

This is the main paper summarizing the distortion contribution analysis I developed during my PhD at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel. I use the Best Linear Approximation in a combination with a noise analysis to determine the distortion contributions of a circuit when it is excited by a modulated signal.

Testing ADS LSSS simulations

In this small article, I test the performance of Keysight Advanced Design System’s Large-Signal Small-Signal simulator. I use a theoretical example with known Harmonic Transfer functions for this. We find several options that need to be set to get the correct performance.

Old VUB projects

Collection of projects I did during my engineering education at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel.
